The smell of leeks wafting in the cabin air before landing was either my flatulent seat neighbour or the rancid breakfast being passed out around me. Either way it was enough to wake the living dead... and a very over tired mileage runner to get changed and ready for landing.

As Inwas transferring on to IBX to MAD I opted for breakfast in the LGW Flounge instead and it didn't disappoint...

Well, I often swap leeks for onions in omelettes and the like, so I’d be happy with them at breakfast in a cheese savoury. But, I agree that it’s personal choice.

And I’m glad you enjoyed the lounge breakfast. I’m surprised that the LGW Flounge only gets the same breakfast items as the LHR GCs. (Though, I was certainly happy making my bacon muffins when I was last at LHR.)
