Pleasantly shocked

I flew PUJ > ANU > LGW yesterday night and was pleasantly shocked by the catering. On the first sector PUJ > ANU it's only 70 mins so previously you got a drink and maybe some nuts. Now there is a chicken or veg wrap served hot but it also has a salad and crisps and a dessert so it's like a full meal and served with drinks from the bar. After arrival into ANU they served PDBs then after take off we had two rounds of bar drinks (and they actively encouraged me to have a top up) and then another full meal with wine offered when the order.was taken. Then tea and liqeurs proactively offered Then towards the end of the flight breakfast was served.. I was so full I couldn't manage the breakfast. The service was very good and the quality was good.

PUJ doesn't have a lounge so BA gives you a $20 voucher to spend on food so most J passengers had eaten before boarding in any case.

Unfortunately for me PUJ will go back to being direct from November so I won't get to see if this third meal sticks around.
