A large contingent of staff was working out of this "office" which was really a large open cubicle. Anyone being inspected had to lay out their carryon bag, handbag and anything else they planned to carry onto the plane. The AA gate staff referred to it as the AA office. I don't know if they were AA employees or airport personnel but I lean towards AA employees. Unfortunately their systems were down so the gate agents were unable to reprint my boarding pass with my pre check info- will try to get this done st JFK.
