Two that did were the old United Global First lounge and the Lufthansa First Class lounge at LAX. Few other passengers, delicious food, outstanding high-end wines and spirits, and very attentive, professional service at both.
This summer we were scheduled to fly on SAS out of LAX, which then got switched to VS through LHR due to the strike. Given that Virgin's lounge was closed, the Centurion Lounge was only doing grab-and-go, and the Star Alliance gold lounge didn't seem all that special I opted to spring for the PS experience and it was beyond amazing (but at an eye-watering price).
Now in a couple of months we're flying Polaris to SYD, and I'm wondering if the Polaris lounge is good enough / "special" enough to use (for free) or if I should spring for PS again. What's the collective wisdom of our frequent LAX travelers?
