I personally think it is genuinely an attempt to improve customer service, and that BA should be applauded for it.
Can I just re-iterate this as a fact.
Especially with reference to ba.com this site is read frequently by people very high up within the eBAD (e-BA Delivery) management team and the comments are noted. The comments here are used as a strong indicator as to the success of a given project.
