Yeah - agreed. It checks your Skywards number against the flight, so I doubt it work work.
It's the same for on-board upgrades. Even though you're in F, the system still thinks you're in J, so no free Wifi.
You'd have thought that the Purser would have some sort of override or code that could be given to those that haven't gone via Skywards.
