Just an update on my issues with the triple points promotion that was running August to end of September: after “investigating” for 2 weeks, accor denied me the triple points claiming that I didn’t use the mobile app, so I didn’t receive roughly 20k in promo points that I was supposed to get.
funny thing is i only use the mobile app for booking Accor hotels (i never use 3rd party websites and i cant even remember when i last booked through Accor website). And i remember that because of Accor’s policy of having to make the booking AFTER registering for the promo, i specifically cancelled my existing bookings and rebooked it through the app to ensure they are eligible.
i know they couldn’t care less, but i have moved all my bookings to Marriott/Hilton (and i spend 300+ nights per year in hotels). anyone who thinks that Marriott/Hilton support is bad should try dealing with Accor.
