Was comped SPG Plat because of my 5 year history as Doamond with Hilton, so I guess I was a semi-proven entity to SPG to be a consistent Platinum.

Challenge:

It turns out that a bunch of places where I do business and leisure travel did not have ANY Starwood properties....hard to believe, I know. At least 20 nights worth between Green Bay, Appleton, Reno, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Barcelona, Seville among others.

Question:

If I can demonstrate to SPG that I continue to have Platinum POTENTIAL, and will likely have more business and leisure travel in 05 where Starwoods are located, will they consider giving me the benefit of the doubt to maintain my Plat credentials for the 05 benefit year?

Be grateful for any feedback or similar experiences.

BTW- Since Hilton took such exemplary care of me...until they obliterated their program 2 years ago, I never really researched any other hotel program. Now, SPG is clearly the lead dog in my book.
