smmrfld - hence the title of my thread. after all, regardless of being a Diamond member, when I am staying (as a repeat customer at the same property) for a week for work, it is unreasonable to want a room with a fridge when 2/3 of the rooms in the property have 1?
but that also raises an ongoing issue regarding status - sure everyone complains when they dont get upgraded (rooms, first class, etc) - but when there is no difference in the overall experience, I sense that sometime the more "elite" you are, the more you learn to tolerate lowering standards once you know better

ps... I recall a recent thread about Hampton breakfast's going down - I need to find and read that - even though I have no issues with the breakfasts here (or the other H) especially since I typically dont eat breakfast, but it looks decent.
