I really think it depends on the staffer. We fly paid F without status. in general 2 bags will weigh under 100 lbs combined - usually it’s not an issue if one is closer to 53 lbs instead of 50. Once an agent asked me to adjust the packing which took me 2 minutes because of a minor zipper struggle. I really haven’t had a luggage fee issue since 2002 in Europe on virgin express because I didn’t understand nor check weight rules on a budget airline. Lesson learned :-)
