Looks like you had a King Premier view Castle View in the end, the attic was probably King Deluxe, so probably you were "upgraded". I especially liked the sound of water being turned on by my neighbours and running down some drain in my "Queen Suite". My partner remarked the furniture in the the rooms was ready for the skip in the late 90s...
One positive is, I can't think of any Hilton in the UK that gives you a Bloody Mary for brekkie.I'd pick the Balmoral next time.

On EDI (and many UK airports) it really is third world. Where did all the money go? You should see GLA Int Pier .. I suppose it would be cheap airport movie set for a 60s movie though.
Thanks hugolover. Out of curiosity, I checked my FHR confirmation and I did pay for a King Premier Castle View. That attic room was indeed a Castle View but the castle was invisible unless you walked over and peeped thru the portholes.

The breakfast Bloody Mary was tasty.
