Have been a flying club member for some time but generally have swayed more BA Exec Club and Avios so am a little less knowledgable with Virgin.

I’m looking to use my Virgin Credit Card voucher to purchase two tickets to the East Coast and trying to calculate the best value i.e upgrade from Prem to Upper, buy an upper then get the second ticket for ‘free’’ …

If I do the 2 for 1, is the cost of the taxes £1008.26 (£700 + £308.26) for the second ticket plus 47,500 (red member)?

I’m currently looking at £1,927.26 for upper cash and £762.26 for Prem return.
