Was transferring UR points to UA points very recently for account set where the transfers had been “instant” for all prior transfers during at least the last 3-4 years. The first transfer of a token (x,000) amount was done to just make sure it would be instant for those accounts. It was instant. Minutes later transferred again between those same accounts, but it was for a five digit amount over 60k. That too was instant. Then a few minutes later transferred another token amount and the transfer was still instant. Then about an hour later tried to transfer a larger five digit amount of points between the same accounts. This time the transfer was not instant, and the transfer is delayed for an amount of time to still be determined.
Lesson: just because all prior recent transfers were instant for the account pair — even when no AU card member is in the picture — doesn’t mean that later transfers will be instant or even otherwise timely for the Chase/UA account member.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the sequence of transfers and the amounts involved in this case eventually hit a risk trigger on Chase’s end.
