I beg to differ on the point that bookings on SQ only open 2 to 3 days a year for selected long haul. From my own personal booking history as an example the year before COVID struck, I made three bookings at various points in the month of Nov 2019 for travel the following year all using the online booking system for 2 persons on biz for SQ:
1st Nov 2019 PER - SIN - AKL - Oct 2020 travel
6th Nov 2019 DPS - SIN - KIX - Apr 2020 travel
28th Nov 2019 DPS - SIN - WLG (via MEL) - July 2020 travel
Perhaps I was just lucky........
Most likely a bit of luck and some of those pair being some fuzzy same region stuff. Who knows at this point.
Still the current situation stands that there is a lack of premium awards as planes are full. (Not trying to direct anything at you just a general statement regarding this thread)
