Will you find a comfortable enough place to sit and linger for hours waiting for the next day?

For the OP I have no suggestions as based on my travels there is no where to "wait" after exiting the airplane and milling about for three hours would draw unwanted attention. I would probably work on changing my flight.
I’ve lingered in the non-Schengen side on arrival at various Schengen airports of entry. It hasn’t caused me a problem at any Schengen airport with five or more US cities on the flight boards.
