I have booked SEA to CAI round trip on BA (with an LHR stop). It is business to CAI, and then prem. economy on the way back. However, the CAI-LON segment on the way back in Economy Plus (because there's no prem. econ. on that five-hour flight). I called BA to see if we can upgrade that to Business, and they said they have to send it to their back office (which takes 1-2 days) since it is only one segment and reprice it - which means that the existing reservation will also change. If it is too expensive and I decline, they will have to do the same thing again to reprice it for Economy Plus.

This process seems wrong. Does anyone here know of a simpler way or contact number where I can have them provide an upgrade price for just that one segment without losing my existing pricing? I am happy to call any local office or even go to the airport if someone can help me there.
