He got a new passport in 2020 and we think the one attached to his exec club account was his old passport when the booking was made. He’s since updated his account with his new passport details, but it still says his details don’t match and that he’ll have to get his boarding pass at the airport.

Has anyone had this before? If so has anyone managed to change it without having to go to a desk at the airport? I’m presuming once he presents himself and his new passport, his boarding pass will
be printed quickly and without hassle?

I’m gold, so I’ll take him as my guest to the first check in, is anyone able to confirm if there is a separate queue/area for Gold check in at T3 during the current chaos?

I had the same problem and maybe my experience can explain what seems to happen...
My UK passport was in by BAEC profile and expired in Sept 22.
I renewed my passport in Jan 2022 and updated my passport in my BAEC profile.
Every time I checked in between Jan 2022 and Sept 2022 I got an error saying the details don't match and that I must check in at a desk or at a machine.
It doesn't matter if I have old passport or new passport in my booking - it always gives the same error.
Now after my previous passport has passed its expiry date, the issue has resolved itself and I can online check-in and get a boarding pass.
I assume what happens is that the BA system sees that I have two overlapping passports somehow and forces me to confirm which passport I am using by physically presenting the passport.
Hopefully this explains ?

Am not sure what will happen if I upload my Irish passport to BAEC as I will need to if I am too avoid the new EU electronic visa requirement with my UK passport.... I can worry about that next year.
