I would recommend calling the "airport manager" at DTW instead of just say the ticket counter. Not NWA airport manager, but the actual employee of Wayne County that runs the airport.

I don't know how DTW handles it, but coming back from AMS via MEM last month there were two "celebs", really politician types, traversing through the WC.

The family I saw was a Duke of Something or other from England or Scotland. They had two of the MEM airport police posted with this family "as a courtesy". That is what the agent at the club told me. As I was talking to her I noticed they also had the more private TV room roped off, she said this was since John Ascroft was supposed to be arriving soon.

I don't know if one or both of these political types were using NW planes or not, but they were being afforded courtesies by both NWA and the airport staff.

There are numerous threads about celebrities flying on commercial airlines and I don't think there is any special check in. Sometimes I have heard they have their driver come in and get an agent to go out to the curb to check their ID or something like that.

Honestly, I can not imagine that they are a very "big" celebrity, or either would not care about the crowd, if they are willing to fly on Pinnacle. The only seats available are those little coach ones. It does not matter what fare you pay, it is still a small 2 x 2 seating CRJ seat. You might even be able to buy a first class ticket if you are connecting from somewhere that has a mainline jet, but it won't be first class on a CRJ unless you buy the Marketing Crap that "all the seats are First class".
