I would just email them and include the kids ages. I feel like for most hotels, a two year old doesn't usually count towards the occupancy limits. Ask if there is an additional charge. We were told for two adults and two kids, we should book the standard room and then email them to "upgrade" to the two queen room. They would "upgrade" us to the two queen oceanview room for an additional $200 per night + tax and service. Once I did that though, they provided that room free of additional charge and confirmed it was free of charge in advance. In the end, we had a really minimal maintenance issue and ended up in a casita, which was absolutely amazing.
Interesting. We are checking in on Monday and traveling with only 1 child. They told me the only option is to pay $100 a night for a rollaway. I even had the Diamond desk call them…they told the Diamond desk that the King bed sleeps 3 and that most people just sleep with their kid in the bed (!). The agent felt so bad for that response that she spontaneously gave me 5000 Hilton points. I’m beginning to lower my expectations for service at this hotel.
