Another separate ticket idea: search RNO-GRU (Sao Paulo, Brazil) for award tickets. GRU is about 1,150 miles away from VVI. G3 flies between GRU-VVI. IAH-GRU is on widebody. There are other UA hubs (ORD, IAD, EWR) with flights to GRU, depending upon season.
