I was flying F LHR-LGW yesterday and was appalled to have milk added before my tea. I took a picture to prove it.

Proper tea etiquette requires that one pour the tea into the cup *before* adding the milk (something that used to cause the fine bone Concord china to crack).

The FA was clearly a prole and his manner of tea service beneath contempt. Milk in first or 'MIF' is a sign of ill breeding.

BAEC rules are quite clear about this: Tea then milk.

I have noticed that BA FA's tend to disregard the rule on afternoon tea food placement for a three tier service:

Top Tier (Gold) = Scones
Middle tier (Silver) = Savories and Tea sandwiches
Bottom tier (Blue) =sweets
