This happened to me on a Chase card in a store I had never shopped in, in person, and a location I have never been to. Chase took care of it all, no issues or further questions.

I think it's pretty clear chip security in general has been compromised and nobody wants to face it.

I must say that this post has me reconsidering my continued use of the card.
