Absolutely loved my Venture X card. IMHO the double points and other benefits were well worth the cost.

Then a charge appeared on my card that I did not do. Called Cap 1 and reported the charge which they investigated. The response was that I must have done the charge because they say the chip was present. They stated I must have benefited from the charge and called me a liar. Cap 1 refused to dispute or label the charge a fraud.

The card is next to me now and no human has ever had access to the card to use the chip. I did not do the charge. Cap 1 has completely failed me as a client.

I cannot recommend Cap 1 period. Customer service is nonexistent.
