I’ve a long awaited and long postponed ‘cultural trip’ with a buddy to the US. As excitement mounts, I checked today and note our perfectly timed 1455 onward AA flight (off a BA metal flight landing the night before) seems to have been cancelled and we’ve been put on another flight 5 hours later, albeit the same BA flight number.

I hadn’t been informed of this change, I guess a result of the pretty hairy AA scheduling issues, but would like to have chosen an alternative. Would someone mind letting me know what I can insist on, eg can I insist on an earlier flight? I would prefer the 0950 onward rather than lose a whole day at my destination…
