You can take any AirTrain from T4 to T8, and the trip will take ~ six minutes once you board. A bus ride from T8 to T1 should take ~ five minutes. Your total travel time will depend upon how frequently the T8-T1 shuttle bus runs.

guv1976 - hadn't thought of doing rough estimates based on travel time - I havent been to JFK in over 10 years but their website lists walking time
Looks like
~20 mins from landing to gate
~10 mins to get off
~15 mins from B30s to security
~5 mins to the airtrain
~9 mins for the airtrain to T8
??? from airtrain to shuttle stop
~6 mins for the shuttle to T1
~5-10 mins to get to security
~15 mins to get through security TSA precheck
~5 mins to get to the gate
So approximately 1:35 with no major hiccups - that gets me to the next gate almost right at departure time - which means gates likely are closed. It'll be insanely tight... depends on the landing...
