How are the rooms?
My room was huge with high ceiling, so large it felt empty. (But there is a variety of room shapes and I cannot map which type is which, so ymmv) Looks good with refurbishment. Bathroom with shower is more standard sized but efficient. Free shortbread with the tea/coffee/kettle. No bottled water but filter water in big glass bottle (that is fine). No fridge, having one would be very appreciated.

What was good and what was bad?
Plat got drinks voucher for each night that can be used for house sparkling. Breakfast is 10GBP I think and have a good spread of buffet items. Nice carpeted interior decor. The hotel is literally part of the station building, the entrances are conveniently located but may need to find a bit first time. Few supermarkets around. The other train station (Queen Street) is within walking distance though the bus station feels a little further away.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
My expected price for a city center hotel and better than I expected. Happy to return. (My stay was in Aug and fortunately not affected by Fringe festival pricing)
