Well, with that statement, you should see how absurd your numbers are. How is that not a net add to the 100K benefits
and the costs for AS to provide them?
Your valuation is 24 W&F for a 100K, 30 W&F if they hold the Credit Card. The current benefits for a 100K are 4 GGUs, 4 Lounge Passes & 2 AA SWUs. Using your numbers that is equivalent to 4 + 4 + 6 + 6 = 20. A That is a 50% increase with the credit card & 20% increase without it, based on your numbers.
Why the additional W&F for holding the credit card? The card comes with benefits already. What do you take away from the credit card to "net" the "perks & costs?" Are you proposing a 100K get 6 W&Fs for each account linked to the Mileage Plan account or is it one only? I have 4 accounts.
Should I be asking BofA for a W&F and cash in the luggage waiver & 50% off lounge passes benefit for a 2nd companion certificate because I don't use those benefits? Without getting into the "value" of the credit card benefits, the waivers provided are offset, at least to some extent, by the revenue generated when BofA buys the miles they send to your account every month. Hence, I don't see why AS would provide additional benefits such as you are suggesting in your model.
Beyond the Lounge Passes, GGUs as they exist now & AA SWUs, the rest is, including the CC nonsence, in my opinion, just a pipe dream. My pipe dream, if you wish to add it, is 10,000 RDM per W&F.
I can see, as a new add for MVPG100K, a "choice benefit," where you can choose once from a few options. Those options may include a) discount on Lounge+ to Lounge membership pricing, b) an additional AA SWU, c) 4 additional GGUs, d) 4 additional Lounge Passes & e) 25,000 RDM. Or something of that nature. Maybe AS should actually address the upgrade processor issues before totally revamping the Loyalty program.
If you want to be taken seriosly, I think you should at least take the Llama Drama & additional W&Fs for credit card holders off your chart.
I wouldn't put too much effort into it though, the likelihood of any of the "pipe dreams" coming to fruition is about on par with seeing a llama flying free in AS First enjoying a serving of fresh cut wheat grass from the snack basket. lol
