Travel requirements - source of information for airport/airline employees

Hi all,

I feel stupid asking this. But want to ask it anyway to ease my mind.

I have - during Covid, when I was OK to fly home even without vaccinations or negative tests - had a few occasions where check-in / bag drop desk agents were adamant in seeing proof of vax/test/.., despite it not being necessary. Their computer said it was required. Not a problem, I'm vaccinated, so without too much fuzz I showed them the EU DCC qr and on my way I was, knowing that the rules were different for citizens of Denmark being able to do a test upon landing. It even said so on klm.traveldoc.aero, which I happily showed to the agents.

fast forward a year, and now I went to check traveldoc again for my upcoming trip - just out of curiosity (I shouldn't have, as it turns out). The destination (Thailand) allows for 30 days stay, visa-free. So I entered the dates (Departure date, 4th of October, return date 4th of november). Mind, it doesn't ask arrival date, which would be 5th of October.

so Traveldoc asked me if I had a Visa or any other additional documents. Clicking "no", big red text said "not clear to board".

The thing is, while departure is the 4th, arrival is the 5th. And while return is the 4th, it's the 4th just after midnight. So we'd be going through passport control on the 3rd, which would reduce the amount of days to 29 days.

I started looking up if Thailand cares about the flight departure times rather than when you go through border control, and noticed Thailand has increased the visa-free stay to 45 days from October until March, but this is not reflected in Traveldoc either.

So - just wanted to ask - does anyone know where check in agents get their information from? My previous covid experience learns me they had different information in front of them than what Traveldoc.aero was showing me, but that was overseas.

I sincerely hope it's not the very same Traveldoc KLM recommends us to check, as I'm not keen on explaining twice (once in Copenhagen, once in Amsterdam when a friend joins me) that Traveldoc is wrong.
