I really don't think it is. The tone in which a business "speaks" to its customers is important and should be appropriate for both the type of business and the type of customer. In this instance, I think it appears unprofessional (although, as has been pointed out, this actually seems to be a default message and not of BA's making).
We all have different ideas and values, and to dismiss the OP's post, and in the way that you did, just because
you don't think it's important is discourteous.
