Have you tried rebooking yourself online? It will often let you rebook yourself online for no mileage difference in same class of service within +- 2 days. In example below, new itin below is available in NL booking class for 16K miles, but it is letting me rebook this new itin in original NT class (which was booked at 12.5K miles) for no mileage difference due to flight change.


Price for a new booking --




No mileage difference when changing existing booking (booked at 12.5K miles) to same flights.
