New "Scam"? In my recent rental I returned the car to CPT at around 21:30 in the evening, there was only one person in the parking lot processing returns (not sure if he's even an Hertz employee, he had a fidelity jacket and clearly with there being only a single flight departing that late they didn't expect many cars returned) only to get the invoice 2 days later charging me an extra day citing the car was returned 6AM the next day.
e-mailing customer service got me non-sense response citing I returned the car 1 hour later and therefore charged an extra day, e-mailing the branch manager got it sorted very quickly citing "The person responsible for noting down your return time forgot to do so" (you had one job!?).
