I've been shopping at Rooten's for over 30 years, collecting pieces from Andiamo when they were still in business and based in Irvine. I've also bought Briggs + Riley from them. I like that they have a program where you can bring in an old bag (even damaged) and get a store credit for the purchase of a new bag. One thing that really impressed me; I bought an 18" Pathfinder (when it was part of Andiamo) rollaboard from them at a clearance sale and broke the latch on the handle when I closed the liftgate of an SUV on it; I took it in to have it repaired and the sales person said it was beyond his skill. I was all set to buy a very expensive B+R roller and was at the register with my credit card out when one of their senior repairmen arrived for work and he was able to replace the handle assembly with some spare parts he had lying around. Not only did they give up a juicy sale, but they didn't even charge me for the repair. That told me all that I needed to know about that company. I think the children of the original owners are running the place now.
