Connecting from somewhere else? If I check in for a LHR-SFO flight 24 hours ahead of time and am connecting at SFO to Honolulu, my checkin for SFO-HNL can show up at 40-45 hours out, easily.

One can check in for their FIRST flight only 24 hours out - connecting segments further out than 24 hours will also be checked in at that time.
