we are presently waiting to board the ferry from Digby NS to Saint John NB; we were originally booked on the CAT fast ferry from Yarmouth NS to Bar Harbor ME tomorrow morning, but the operator pre-emptively cancelled the Thurs/Fri/Sat crossings due to anticipated winds and wave heights exceeding the vessel’s safe operating limits

our drive from Halifax this morning took us along the north shore of Nova Scotia … about half an hour after leaving Wolfville we saw a Lockheed CP-140 “Aurora” (the Canadian Forces version of the P-3 Orion) making several turns around the pattern at Canadian Forces Base Greenwood, as well as a pair of CF-18s on landing approach
