Small, typical HIX with everything functional.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A

What was good and what was bad?
GOOD

• Convenient location for ZRH overnight layover
• Efficient and friendly staff at check-in (even when all their systems have been hacked)
• Liked the 24h bar and restaurant service, the person working at the bar was very friendly and professional, wanted to go to bed late so was convenient
• (this might be bad for some) interesting people watching with people arriving throughout the night from ZRH. Had a few chuckles sitting at the bar (may have been the pints).
• Breakfast spread was typical HIX but everything was warm and fresh
• Book you return airport shuttle when you check-in (6CHF) to make sure you have a place

BAD

• If you are arriving later at ZRH (I got there at 2230), the airport shuttle is a bit of a zoo as there are no reservations, no queue and people are fighting to get 10 seats on a minibus. Met a couple that waited 3 shuttled before getting in. By the time I realized the futility of waiting, the next tram (I do not mind walking a bit) was 45 minutes later so I took a taxi to the hotel. Would not rely on the shuttle service late at ZRH
• Elevators are badly designed (two elevators with two separate call buttons meaning every call is doubled for no reason) so I used the stairs the whole time.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Fair value for money (the CHF/CAD exchange rate is never great) and would return if I had to spend the night in ZRH. Would not use it as a base to visit ZRH however, the area is a bit dreary.
