I had this same offer. I flew MKE-STL-DFW-MIA-DFW-STL-MKE for a business fare of $610. I flew on Thanksgiving Day returning the next day. I'm not sure if flying on Thanksgiving Day made the business fare lower than usual or not. My segments and the 30,000 bonus posted three days later.

Prior to finding this fare, the best I could find were some 4 segment routings from SAN to LAS via LAX which others on this board had suggested. These fares were in the $350 range, but you have to get to SAN or LAS.
