Doubletree - Rochester, MN (CLOSING)
What I consider to be one of the crown jewels in the Doubletree portfolio is closing at the end of the month, which is a shame because it is one of the best places to stay when at the Mayo clinic.
The hospitality group that owns the property entered into a leasing agreement with the University of Minnesota to refurbish the property into a dormitory for 400 students - most of the rooms will remain as is - those sure will be much nicer dorms than I ever had as a student. Two students to a quite spacious room and each has their own private bathroom.
I am very sorry to see this property close and so are many other Mayo Clinic patients
