DL SkyMiles members also have the possibility to earn status miles from flying on DL-issued award tickets. I’m likely going to cross another million miler status mark just because of this DL policy that didn’t exist during my most frequent DL flying days on and off award tickets.
How many years has it taken to get over 2 million miles. I know it took me 6 years to get my first million with Cathay and my flying record was really consistent each year. So when I told KLM I will move to them they could see I had 1.6 million on Cathay alone and in return for me switching my bookings they made me Platinum right away.
