To me, the ability to add up to 15K points to a Marriott Bonv∘y Free Night Certificate (FNC) has been a tremendous enhancement.

I don't stay at hotels very often. From our credit cards, my wife & I each have a 25K and 35K FNC, plus I earned a 40K FNC via Titanium Elite status for several years.

Often we found ourselves redeeming them at properties where point stays were 5K or 10K less, so they wouldn't expire. Now we are using them at slightly more expensive places, often near airports, to good effect.
