Your recent travel must have been fairly narrow in scope, as a lot of places still have some mask requirements in place. I know it sucks. Emirates will apparently enforce the masking. It is a legal requirement in Dubai to wear them still, with some recent noises towards beefing enforcement up. Having said that, I can’t speak to what the hotel will allow, which may be far more relaxed in practice.
I've just been travelling in Europe this year so maybe that's why. Thanks for the heads up though re Dubai and Emirates - the fact that they are private suites at Al Maha will obviously make a big difference.
