I could use some help. I have an upcoming work trip that I need to make to Ireland. I had previously booked a personal trip to Paris the week before, and now think it makes the most sense to go to Paris then fly to Ireland then back to the US. All of my work trips need to be booked through a trip actions portal. Is the best thing to do to book a round-trip flight to Ireland in the TripActions portal, call AA, do an agency takeover, and pay any fare difference to go to Paris instead of Ireland for my outbound, then cancel my existing trip and preserve the funds for future use? I also have systemwide upgrades applied to my existing trip and I would want to have them re-applied to the new trip.
