Cabin Pressure: your BA environment...

Since occasional posts mention onboard environment - whether it's too hot, cold, damp, dry, I thought I would measure it! So on a recent FCO-LHR-BWI/IAD I recorded the following below. Seats were 6F on the 320-neo (front of economy), and 26F on the A380 (bottom deck towards rear economy).

Things to note: FCO-LHR (320-neo) was delayed (French ATC strike), so although boarding was about on time, pushback was about 1h15 late. (Prior to 10:50GMT it was the lounge/gate area). LHR-IAD (A380) was meant to be LHR-BWI (787-8), but hey ho... . The time spent at LHR was virtually all at flight connections.

You can see that the 320-neo environment seemed to be moister than the A380 - indeed, it showed an increse in the humidity ratio - i.e. there was an increase in moist air in the cabin, whereas the A380 showed significant drying of the atmosphere. The tempertaure was surprisingly stable throughout - it often feels 'cold' due to the dry air i.e. on the A380.

(Annoyingly, I managed to delete the outward BWI-LHR-FCO, but don't worry, have got a BWI-LHR-BRU since - coming soon!).
