Had a flight from London to Madrid cancelled due to the aircraft going tech. I submitted an EU261 claim and amazingly had a reply in about 4 hours acknowledging my claim and asking for bank details etc.
Anyway it asked me to send a copy of my passport, personal details and bank information by reply email which in my opinion is completely inappropriate.
I sent a reply asking for them to provide a secure way to provide said details and didn't get a response.. so i opened a new customer service case and uploaded everything they needed in one go. I then replied to the original case with the new case reference stating everything they needed was uploaded there.
Anyway, no response.. so suppose just a waiting game.
Do Iberia honestly ask every customer who makes a claim to ask for these details over email?
