Can I just double-check something?

If one has enough XPs banked from previous years, there is no requirement to gain any XP at all or take a single XP-earning flight in the current year to be able to maintain status and keep on carrying-over left-over XPs from previous years, correct?

For instance, if I gained 1000 XPs in membership year X, i will start year X+1 with 700 XPs and retain Plat status. If I do not earn any XPs at all in year X+1, at the beginning of year X+2, another 300 XPs will be deducted so that my account will now be at 400 XPs but I will still be Plat. Ditto for year X+2 and I would start year X+3 with 100 XPs in my account and still be Plat.

Is that correct?
