Mine still says Platinum for Hertz and Avis President's Club (americanexpress.com). I would be quite upset if the Hertz was downgraded; I use it regularly. They would normally issue a notice on the back of the statement of an impending downgrade (with a time in the future it cuts over) and not just "do it", but what you report is troubling.

Yes, when I log into my Amex account and click benefit. It still shows Hertz platinum and Avis president club and no Sixt information.
i hope it will be grandfathered. But the link above tells different story.
