Ah, I get it now. I think line of sight and possible light pollution are factors to consider as well. I also thought that all four seats are equally susceptible to galley noise, but maybe it's a line of sight/sound travel issue as the galley is located directly in front of 9D/F.
9A: line of sight into and possible light pollution from the galley, possible increased galley noise relative to 9D/F
9D: line of sight into closet in front of 9A, and thus possible reduced light and noise pollution relative to 9A
9F: line of sight into lav in front of 9L, possible reduced galley noise relative to 9A/L, but I wouldn't want to be looking at the lav
9L: line of sight into and possible light pollution from the galley, possible increased galley noise relative to 9D/F, and also possible noise pollution from lav flushes directly in front
Would folks agree this is an accurate summary comparison?
