I flew BA to Venice few month back from Heathrow. 150 or so on the flight and 12 peoples luggage never made it to Venice airport. When people went to report their lost luggage they were told "sorry BA have said they couldnt fit it on the plane so left it behind. It will be on the next flight". The person handling lost luggage said this is a common occurrence now and mostly affecting BA

Then 1 week ago friends came back from the US with BA. 80 peoples luggage never turned up, and again the same excuse given. They still havent got their luggage back. If we say 500 on a plane thats about 1 in 6 whose luggage never arrived

Surely a plane has enough room to fit all passengers luggage in the hold?
