Gift card use in Fiji:

Marriott Momi Bay: Yes
Sheraton Tokoriki: No

At Marriott Momi Bay, I stopped by the front desk one day before checkout and asked to use a gift card. They told me no problem, just ask when checking out. So next day I was checking out early, and they told me that Givex is installed on the manager's computer who will come later. They took a photo of my phone screen with the gift card info and told me they will process it later. They in fact processed it 3 days after check out. Charged correct amount in FJD, with the conversion to USD happening on the gift card side with mid-market fx with no markup (unlike my experience in Mexico).

At Sheraton Tokoriki, I also asked about the gift card one day before checkout and was told they cannot do it. I asked to double check with the manager and they told me the system is not installed and they cannot process gift cards. I pushed back and asked to double check again, but the answer is still the same: we do not have the Givex system at this resort.
