Which aircraft/routes do flight attendants prefer to work?

I was on a long 7M8 TB flight yesterday and got chatting with the excellent YVR-based SD. Once we got past the "we were shorted" conversation (this time it was Caesar mix), we got talking about about the state of the union for SDs and FAs in general.

Since she had some seniority, I asked her if she chose this flight based on a city pairing or something else. She told me that she preferred working these flights as they generally had experienced FAs. Her assertion was that a lot of the wide body flights have very inexperienced FAs and it's a pain to have to deal with that.

I was a little surprised that AC would have essentially junior staff on what is supposed to be their "Signature" product, but maybe it's all about length of flights and general scheduling. Or maybe it's just the YVR base.

Still an interesting observation though.

(I wasn't sure where to post this, but maybe some of the other AC cabin crew here can chime in with their thoughts.)
