A customer should not have to look through dozens of pages of fine print terms in order to validate the original claim advertised..
Rebooking itself is free of charge but you always (on every single airline in the world) have to pay the fare difference when rebooking. As to the "dozens of pages of fine print terms" - on the LOT website when you select the tickets and before you click continue you actually have the option of looking at the fare conditions (which are like one page long and clearly state what are the rebooking conditions).
